Before I bought my new phone, I made a “cell phone simulator” by cutting out a blank with the same dimensions as the new phone, and taping nickels to it until the combined weight was equal to the new phone. Then I carried it around for a few days.
The Xperia Z Ultra is pretty awesome. It is big enough to worry about falling out of my pocket when I’m on my bike, so I made a lanyard with 095 paracord and a cheap carabiner.
